The Immigration paralegal will support the employment and benefits practice group in the Charleston office. This is a nonexempt administrative position that reports to the Director of Practice Support Services. There are no direct reports to this position.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities
The essential functions of this position include preparation and filing of a wide variety of non-immigrant, and immigrant employment petitions, family petitions, visa applications, PERM labor certification applications, applications for adjustment of status, and applications for U.S. citizenship.
Ideal candidates should have 3+ years of business immigration experience preparing and handling a variety of employment based non-immigrant petitions and immigrant petitions, PERM labor certifications, visa applications and applications for adjustment of status. The candidate should possess strong writing skills, experience with an immigration based forms and document management system, have excellent case management and organizational skills and be able to work independently.
A Bachelor’s degree is strongly preferred. Experience with the Law Logix immigration system and foreign language skills are a plus.
