Subject: ALA Charlotte Chapter meeting - this Thursday
Please join us for our monthly ALA Charlotte Chapter meeting at noon on Thursday, October 22 at Robinson Bradshaw. It’s not too late to RSVP to Pam Sachs at email@example.com.
Tom Cooper will present, “Everyone Communicates, Few Connect.” He will cover two principles of communication that will make one stand out from the crowd, plus one specific tool that can be added to the toolkit to use immediately. Tom started his career as a computer science geek who fell into project management for a couple of decades. Tom led software and technology initiatives in companies from startups to Fortune 500 companies. He founded a local company, BrightHill Group, with the goal of helping tech leaders get more from their teams. Realizing that the need for leadership skills wasn’t limited to the tech field, Tom’s focus has expanded to include helping all types of clients become more effective at influencing others. He is a certified John Maxwell trainer, author, executive coach, business coach, and speaker.
At the October meeting, the Chapter is collecting donations to purchase a toaster oven for Hospitality House of Charlotte. Checks can be made payable to Charlotte Chapter ALA. Consider what you would do if a loved one fell seriously ill or was seriously injured while traveling. What would you do if you needed to travel with a loved one for long term treatments in another city? Since 1985, Hospitality House of Charlotte has provided shelter to families while their loved ones receive treatment at nearby hospitals. During their history, they have sheltered over 50,000 guests who have come to HHC from 49 states and over 35 countries. HHC serves family members of any age patient being treated at local area hospitals. Please consider making a donation.
Cost for members is $20 and the cost for non-members is $25.
Checks should be made payable to ALA Charlotte Chapter and submitted to
